Nature is remarkably close in Knox. Our creeks, bushland reserves and open spaces are located throughout our suburbs often within easy walking or driving distance from home. Not only do they give us beautiful places to walk, ride and play but the green areas also provide a home for many local wildlife.
This Saturday 17 July we are celebrating World Environment Day with the First Friends of Dandenong Creek and the Rotary Club of Bayswater. This is an opportunity to get involved and reconnect with nature by helping to plant over 2,000 indigenous plants along Dandenong Creek, Bayswater. This will help improve water quality along the Dandenong Creek and provide important habitat for local wildlife.
The Rotary Club of Bayswater is also celebrating their 100th birthday anniversary with a fabulous sausage sizzle so bring your family and friends and get involved between 10am and 12noon.
