Kindergarten community panel closing soon

Did you receive an invite to participate in our kindergarten community panel? Time is running out to register your interest.

Council is considering its role as an early years manager and kindergarten service provider in response to state government reforms and financial realities.

Our focus is ensuring we manage this change while providing the best value and access to great local services for our whole community.

Our community panel will help us ensure a wide range of people in Knox have a voice in this decision. 6000 randomly selected households received an invitation to participate and expressions of interest close on 22 January.

Who we want to hear from 

We want to hear from past, current and future kindergarten users to ensure changes continue to enable Knox families to access quality kindergarten. 

We also want to hear from community members that are interested in exploring how Council delivers community services to provide best value to the community. 

Panel members will be selected via a random selection process by our independent consultants. The selection process will seek to form a panel that reflects the diversity of the Knox community. 

Selected participants will need to attend four sessions in March and April 2023. To recognise your time commitment, you’ll receive $250.00 at the completion of the panel.
