- Missing cycling link open
Running alongside Burwood Hwy, this new 800 metre shared path provides a safer option for local cyclists and pedestrians. The new pathway links to the EastLink trail, Dandenong Creek trail and existing shared paths along Burwood Hwy to Knox Westfield, creating a true cycling network for Knox.
There is also a new 45 metre long bridge over the Dandenong Creek allowing users to safely cross the creek as they cycle or walk along the pathway.
This $5.7 million project was funded by the Victorian government as part of their Safer Cycling and Pedestrian program and will now provide an east - west link between Wantirna South and Vermont South; connecting Westfield Knox, Vermont South shopping centre and Koomba Park.
