- New sports development program
We are offering 3 new workshops for local sports and leisure club members to help develop and grow your club. These free events will be held at the Knox Civic Centre, 511 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South. We recommend booking early, as places are limited.
Workshop 1. Volunteerism - Tips to attract and keep volunteers
Join this practical session that will focus on ways to recruit, retain and reward volunteers within clubs. It will also work through practical ways to spread the load among all club members. We’ll identify key tasks that are currently being undertaken at your club, and will work through ways to delegate these to other club members.

Workshop 2. Female participation - Establishing a successful female program at your club
This session is designed to support clubs to either get started, or to continue to grow, your women’s and girl’s teams. Female participation at sporting clubs has many benefits, to the club and the broader community, and this session will focus on providing the tools to support you along the way.

This workshop aims to provide information to sporting clubs that helps ensure you are protected against alcohol and drug-related risks including injury, compliance and liability. Jointly delivered by officers from the Alcohol and Drug Foundation,
