Spring Biodiversity Blitz

The race is on between all nine Councils Knox, Greater Dandenong, Casey, Monash, Kingston, Frankston, Mornington Peninsula, Cardinia, and Yarra Ranges to find out who can record the most species throughout September. Participating is easy, all you need is your phone, the iNaturalist app and to head out to your local bushland reserve.

The iNaturalist app is easy to use and there is a community on iNaturalist that can help you identify your observations. It is a great way to learn about local plants and animals and get involved in local conservation. You can download it from your Apple or Android app store.

If you would like to learn more, join iNaturalist enthusiast Luis Mata from the Entomological Society of Victoria who will present on the basics of iNaturalist and answer all your iNaturalist questions via Zoom webinar.
