Take an audio tour of Immerse art exhibits

Art fans in Knox can now tune in to a series of audio journeys explaining the background and location of some our Immerse performances, installations and exhibits.

As you explore our Immerse installations on foot or online, listen to one of our audio tours to learn more and bring the artworks to life.

To listen to the audio journeys, click through the Immerse locations on our website, and click play on the audio tour for each one. You can also access individual audio tours for many of the artists by clicking through to the individual artist pages.

During the audio journeys, our artists chat with the enigmatic musician and performer Will Tait about their work, their inspirations and these past two years. The audio journeys feature artists with work installed in three locations:

  • Stamford Park Homestead
  • Miller’s Homestead (online, digital experience only)
  • The Basin

The information for each location can be listened to in full or listeners can select the artists individually.

The idea for these audio journeys began during Melbourne’s strict COVID restrictions when we weren’t sure if our audience could meet our artists. We wanted to create a way to make that happen, no matter how far anyone could or could not travel.

Our new hybrid approach, which includes both digital experiences and in real life installations, makes the artworks more accessible to people who are not able to physically visit the locations.

The Immerse arts festival transforms the City of Knox into a living art gallery, with art popping up in unexpected places across Knox. Find out more about the Immerse audio tours and digital experiences.
