- Your say on a dementia-friendly Knox
There are over 2,600 people living with dementia in Knox, and it is estimated that this will increase to over 12,700 by 2050.
To better support people living with dementia in the community, we've partnered with Dementia Australia to implement the Dementia-Friendly Communities program.
The program aims to build awareness, understanding and acceptance of dementia, so that people living with dementia can live a life full of meaning, purpose and value.
The program, combined with your feedback and results from this survey and small group discussions, will inform the development of Council’s Dementia-Friendly Action Plan.
We ask for your support in this work by submitting any feedback below by Monday 3 October 2022.
For more information, contact Linda Keenahan, Age and Dementia Friendly Communities Project Officer on [email protected] or 9298 8827.
We look forward to working together in creating a dementia-friendly Knox.
