Walk to School is a VicHealth initiative that is supported by Knox City Council. During the whole month of October, we are inviting schools, students, parents and staff to strut their stuff and walk to school. Walking can help students learn healthy habits and achieve the 60 minutes of physical activity recommended for children each day. More people walking in our streets can also help reduce traffic congestion, parking difficulties and the associated environmental impacts driving a car to school might have.
Walk to school is free, fun and a fantastic way for school communities to get fit and win local and regional prizes.
Further information about how your primary school could get involved in, and register for, Walk to School can be found on the Walk to School website
