Service Updates

We are prioritising critical services and some services may be reduced. This means there will be longer wait times for customers contacting us by phone. Many of our services are available online. Walk to School

Walk to School

3 children walking to school

Walk to School is a VicHealth initiative supported by Knox City Council.

During the whole month of October, we are inviting schools, students, parents and staff to strut their stuff and walk to school. Walk to School is free, fun and a great way for school communities to get fit and win local and regional prizes.

Walking can help students learn healthy habits and achieve the 60 minutes of physical activity recommended for children each day. More people walking in our streets can also help reduce traffic congestion, parking difficulties and the associated environmental impacts driving a car to school might have.

How to get involved

Visit the Walk to School website for details on how your primary school can get involved in and register.
