Before you start

To make a valid FOI request to access Government documents, provide enough information about the documents, or category of documents, and date range you need.

Fees

An invoice for the application fee will be issued after your FOI request is submitted.

The application fee is required unless there are special circumstances where payment of such a fee would cause hardship, which would enable the fee to be waived or appropriately reduced.

Search fees will be charged on an hourly rate and a deposit may be requested.

If you request documents that contain another person’s personal information (such as name, address and phone numbers), Council is required to contact those people and if they consent to you viewing that information.

This consultation process will add 15 days to the time Council has to decide on your request.
