Immerse Expression of Interest

Before you start

Expressions of Interest are invited from experienced Artists and art agencies to present site specific activations such as installations, projections, sound, performances or interactive elements. Selected projects will form part of Immerse 2026, occurring between 26 June to 26 July 2026.

Projects to the value of between $3,500 to $10,000 (excluding GST) will be considered. Selected Artists and Art Agencies will be paid a $500 fee to develop detailed concepts as part of stage 2.

What you will need

About your proposal

Consider the below factors when completing your description:

  • Site-specific interactive performances or interactive installations including light sculptures (consider visual appeal for daytime or twilight/night activations)
  • Static interactive installations that remain for the duration of Immerse that are durable in a public setting
  • Sessional activations including performance (offered over set days or allocated weekends during Immerse)
  • Option to collaborate with our community in creating meaningful activations and/or performances 1
  • Culturally diverse activations celebrating the richness of cultures within our community
  • Projections that can be adapted to a variety of locations (i.e. structures including buildings, rear window projections and parklands)
  • Incorporating sound or original music as a component of the work (optional)
  • Projects that are accessible to all ages and abilities.

1 The Immerse Project Team can assist in connecting artists with key community groups if required.

Please note, there will be limited specialist equipment provided by Council. Council will cover the cost of power, security, and site rental when applicable. Artists will also be responsible to secure their own labour for install and de-install of their artwork.
 

There will be some flexibility and support from Council around broader infrastructure, amenities and security.

Do you currently have Public Liability Insurance (PLI)?
All participating artists and installation teams will be required to have Public Liability Insurance at the time of installation and throughout the duration of Immerse 2026.
