Knox Sport and Leisure Awards

The Best Club Initiated Program Award will be awarded to a Knox-based sport and leisure club that has implemented an inclusive program that aligns with the goals outlined within the Knox Community and Council Plan.

Please make sure you read the information about each award category and eligibility criteria on the Knox Sport and Leisure Awards web page.

Nominations close 9:00 am Tuesday 10 March 2026.

Eligibility criteria

To be considered for this award, the club must meet all the following requirements:

  • must be based in Knox
  • must not have won the Best Club Initiated Program Award in the last two years
  • be incorporated and report annually to Consumer Affairs Victoria
  • The program must have been active within the last 12 months.

Programs like NAB AFL Auskick, Woolworths Cricket Blast, Soccer Academy's clinics are not eligible and will not be considered for this award.

Before you start

  • Plan your responses as the form cannot be edited once submitted.
  • You cannot save progress, so allow up to 10 minutes to complete the form.
  • Have the club incorporation number ready (find this at Consumer Affairs Victoria).
  • Prepare clear answers up to 200 words describing the program, including goals and objectives, benefits for club and community, impact on participants.

Club activity

Nomination questions

Examples include walking netball, wheelchair basketball, active parents, all abilities programs, community engagement initiatives such as food relief and programs or competitions for under-represented groups, etc.
Examples include improving and strengthening club culture, enhancing reputation, and providing opportunities to the broader community, etc.
Examples include a greater sense of belonging, empowerment, improved mental and physical health, increased hope and happiness for participants, support in achieving personal goals, etc.
