Knox Community Awards Committee

The Knox Community Awards Committee selects recipients for the Knox Community Awards program.

Award nominations for 2026

Nominations for the Knox Community Awards close on 15 March and winners will be announced during National Volunteer Week on 20 May 2026. This is a great opportunity to recognise the valuable contributions made by volunteers in Knox. Categories are open for individuals, groups and organisations.

Committee objectives

The Knox Community Awards Committee considers nominations and selects recipients for the program.

The committee consists of current Councillors, and recipients from our previous Awards program are also invited join.

The Committee's objectives are to select and award outstanding achievements for the following categories in the program:

  • Knox Volunteer of the Year
  • Knox Community Organisation of the Year
  • Recognition of Years of Service.

Councillor members

Council appoints Councillors to take part in the Committee.

Current Committee Councillors

The current Councillors are:

  • Cr Atwell
  • Cr Williams

Meetings

Meetings take place annually.

The Committee operates alongside a Knox Community Awards Terms of Reference.
