Get your hands dirty! Join a Friends working bee

September is Biodiversity Month and what better way to give back to your community than joining a local environmental groups’ working bee.

Working bees are taking place at: 

9 am – 11 am, Sunday 7 September, Friends of Glenfern Green Wedge (bird survey)
10 am – 12 pm, Saturday 13 September, Friends of Koolunga Native Reserve
9.30 am – 11.30 am, Sunday 14 September, Friends of Blind Creek Llewellyn
10 am – 12 pm, Tuesday 9 September, Friends of Blind Creek Billabong
9 am – 11 am, Thursday 18 September, Friends of Old Joes Creek
10 am – 12 pm, Sunday 21 September, Friends of Blind Creek Billabong
10 am – 12 pm, Saturday 27 September, Friends of the Gully

Working bee activities include:
•    Revegetating degraded bushland by planting indigenous species
•    Observing and recording local wildlife, supporting local citizen science projects
•    Helping restore animal habitats
•    Helping reduce the impact of invasive species by removing non-native plants
•    Supporting your local community volunteer group
