Tormore Reserve pavilion upgrade

The redeveloped Tormore Reserve Pavilion is now complete. It delivers a modern facility that improves accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability while supporting the sporting and community needs of Boronia.

About the project

Built in 1976, the pavilion no longer met modern standards. The Tormore Reserve Masterplan was adopted by Council in 2016 and outlined a significant redevelopment of the pavilion to address outdated and inadequate facilities.

The project included:

  • updated player change rooms and 2 umpire change rooms
  • accessible facilities, improved pathways and parking
  • first aid and training spaces
  • community meeting spaces and a social room
  • new kitchen, servery and kiosk facilities
  • spectator viewing balcony overlooking the reserve.

This project was jointly funded by Knox City Council, with $5 million from the Australian Government's Investing in Our Community program, and $1.2 million from the Victorian Government through the Community Support Fund.

Location

Tormore Reserve Pavilion is located at 16 Tormore Road, Boronia
