- Explore the new Bayswater Library
We are excited to announce that construction of the new and improved Bayswater Library is now complete and ready to be explored.
The new library is still conveniently located on the lower level of Mountain High Shopping Centre in Bayswater but has moved to a new site a few doors away at shop 43, just behind the escalators.
It has a larger, brighter, and more contemporary open-plan layout with versatile areas for gathering, studying, and working. The new library boasts 55% more floor space, bookable meeting rooms, community rooms that can accommodate up to 40 people and changing facilities for little ones. New signage, bookshelves, and a book return chute has also been installed with the support of the Victorian State Government's Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.
Future improvements will include the installation of artwork at the library entrance. This will be provided by a local artist and developed in conjunction with input from young people in Knox. See our events page for more information and how to get involved:
We welcome you to visit and enjoy this renewed community space – there’s something for everyone.
