About
Knox Factor is an annual talent competition, open to singers of all skill levels and vocal styles.
Applicants must be aged between 5 and 25 and either live, study, work or play in Knox.
The Knox Factor grand final will take place at Knox Carols by Candlelight on Saturday 10 December 2022.
Prizes
The winners of Knox Factor 2022 will receive:
- professional mentor support and training in vocal techniques, song-writing and performance
- public performance opportunities including the Knox Factor grand final at Knox Carols by Candlelight 2022
- studio recording time
- musical equipment
- exposure to the music industry
- local music and arts networking opportunities.
How to apply
To apply, please submit an audition video and/or audio recording online by 11:59 pm on Thursday 4 August 2022.

Choosing what to sing
Sing any style that you are most comfortable with. From contemporary to musical theatre, the choice is yours. Original work is allowed.
Choose a song that:
- will entertain an audience
- does not contain explicit language
- is appropriate for your age division.
Recording your audition
Audition recordings must:
- be a video and/or audio recording of yourself singing
- be raw with no editing, backup vocals or microphones
- be no more than 4 minutes 30 seconds long
- not contain explicit language.
Uploading your audition recording
To upload your audition video:
- upload your audition video to YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo or any social media account
- Make sure privacy is set to public or unlisted
- Click share
- Copy the URL link and paste it into your Knox Factor online application form.

Grand final Successful singers will perform live at the Knox Carols by Candlelight event to an audience and panel of judges. |
