Managing $1.88 billion community assets

Share your thoughts on how Council should manage community assets worth $1.88 billion over the next 10 years. Have your say by 1 August 2025.

Community assets are at the heart of what we do. We need assets to deliver services that are valued and needed by our growing and diverse community.

Council manages a large portfolio of community assets, including buildings, roads, footpaths, sporting facilities, drainage systems, bushland, and playgrounds.

We have a budget of $689.69 million to manage community assets for the next 10 years, and we developed the draft Asset Plan to guide how we do this.

The draft plan was developed through a deliberative engagement process which involved a community panel consisting of 21 members.

The panel members were selected through an expression of interest process to be a representative group of the Knox community. A report detailing the panel activities and their feedback has been finalised.

Council has embedded the panel’s feedback, including the 6 principal priorities to consider when making long-term decisions on asset management. Your feedback is invited on the draft plan we developed with the panel.

This is also your chance to identify opportunities and issues that have not been captured. Community feedback closes 1 August.
