Unleash the fun at Knox's new dog parks

Knox residents and their four-legged friends have two exciting new destinations to explore, with dog parks now open at Kings Park in Upper Ferntree Gully and Wantirna Reserve in Wantirna.

These purpose-built spaces each offer more than 3,500 square metres of fenced areas. They include separate enclosures for shy and large dogs, plus walking circuits to create a more engaging environment for pets. Upgraded drainage ensures the areas remain accessible year-round, and solar lighting will give visitors more hours to enjoy the parks.

Help us keep these dog parks and open spaces safe and welcoming for everyone by using the waste bins provided and keeping your dog under control. You can find more tips on responsible dog ownership at Keeping a dog in Knox.

Families visiting Wantirna Reserve will also find a newly upgraded children’s playground, which now includes instrumental play elements, a five-metre-high slide tower, a 10-metre flying fox, a large swing set with an accessible seat, and nature play in a dry creek bed.

Both dog parks are supported by the Victorian Government’s New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program and are major initiatives under masterplans for Wantirna Reserve and Kings Park.
