Learn how to compost at home

Join the composting community!

Learn how composting at home can save you money, help your garden thrive, and reduce food waste going to landfill with this free workshop on Tuesday 7 October at Ferntree Gully Library.

Led by food and gardening enthusiasts, the workshop, will also explain Knox City Council’s composting rebate and the discounted composting systems available.

Composting is the traditional method of breaking organic matter down into nutrient-rich soil conditioner. The finished product improves soil structure and makes the perfect platform for growing plants, especially fruits and vegetables. Using compost can increase your crop yields without the need for adding synthetic chemicals or expensive fertilisers. See our website for more information.

Register today to save money while making a positive impact on the environment.
