Cultural diversity event

This workshop is an opportunity for community groups and sport and leisure clubs to build a shared understanding of the fundamentals of cultural awareness.

Our expert facilitator will include practical case studies, best practices and peer to peer experiences.

The session will also unpack what ‘cultural safety’ means, who defines it, and why it matters. You will learn how to talk about culture and cultural awareness in ways that feel genuine, respectful, and not forced.

Learning Outcomes
•    Develop a simple plan to diversify your membership and/or volunteer base
•    Take away practical, everyday actions you can apply in your community group/club
•    Listen to and include different voices and lived experiences in meaningful ways
•    Build confidence in bringing others along when there is resistance or uncertainty
