Works will officially begin in the coming week on the latest dog park landing in Knox, at Kings Park in Upper Ferntree Gully!
Offering a vibrant and secure space for dogs and their owners, the addition of the dog park aims to enhance the overall experience at Kings Park, providing a space for dog owners to come together, enjoy the outdoors and connect with their local community.
Supported by the Victorian Government through the New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program, the new dog park is a key initiative in the Kings Park Masterplan.
The dog park will feature:
- Two separate fenced off-leash areas, including an area for small and shy dogs
- designed path circuits
- picnic shelter with picnic tables
- seating
- waste bin
- drinking fountain
Improvements to the site's drainage system will also be made to ensure a well-maintained environment for both dogs and their owners.
The dog park is estimated to open in October 2025.
