- Great Southern Bio Blitz
The Great Southern BioBlitz brings communities across the Southern Hemisphere together to discover and record local plants and animals. This year, Knox is joining neighbouring councils as part of the Greater Melbourne collaboration.
Taking part is easy. Simply head outdoors in Knox, photograph wild plants and animals you discover, and upload your observations to the free iNaturalist app or website.
It’s a great opportunity to explore your local parks and bushland, learn more about native plants and wildlife, and contribute to citizen science and local conservation.
How to participate:
- Download the free iNaturalist app or visit the iNaturalist website.
- Create a free account.
- Explore parks, reserves and other natural areas in Knox between 27 and 30 November.
- Photograph or record the plants and animals you discover and upload your observations to iNaturalist.
You can also follow Knox’s contribution to the Greater Melbourne BioBlitz.
