- Calling Young Writers
Applications are closing soon for young people aged 10-18 years, who have a connection to Knox, to submit their story into the Knox Write Now creative writing competition.
We are seeking submissions of short stories, or snippets/chapters of longer works, up to 3,000 words in length. Applications are sought in three categories:
- 10-12 years
- 13-15 years
- 16-18 years
Knox Write Now provides an opportunity to celebrate and empower young people to pursue their writing dreams. Winners from each category will get the chance to see their writing published in a short story collection, which will be available to borrow from Knox Library - Ngarrgoo.
Timeline:
31 July: Competition closes
24 September: Winners announced at a soiree afternoon @ The Youth Hive.
Term 4 2025: Editing and collating short story collection
Late November/December (date TBC): Book launch @ The Youth Hive
