Celebrating Biodiversity Month this September

September is National Biodiversity Month, a time to recognise the importance of biodiversity and the role nature plays in our health and wellbeing.

Get involved across Knox

  • Join a Friends Group working bee - help care for local bushland and wildlife habitat and connect with others who share a passion for nature
  • Participate in the Greater Melbourne Biodiversity Blitz - record plants, animals and insects using the iNaturalist app and contribute valuable information to support biodiversity conservation. Every observation counts, from backyard birds to native orchids.

Make a difference

  • Explore nature in your local area
  • Learn about Knox's native plants and wildlife
  • Contribute to citizen science
  • Help protect and enhance our natural environment
