On the fence about signs in sports and leisure spaces?

Do you live near a reserve, walk your dog around a sports field, use a local court or track, or spend time in Council-managed open spaces? We're inviting you to have your say on how signage is managed in these shared places.

Our Community Signage on Council Open Space Policy sets out how signage is managed, including sponsorship signs, temporary banners and outward-facing signs.

Last year, you told us what’s working, what could be improved and what matters most. Your feedback, along with the Knox Planning Scheme, has shaped a draft policy that provides clearer guidance and a better balance between community amenity, health and wellbeing, and the needs of clubs and community groups.

Now we’re ready for the next step.

Visit Have Your Say to read the draft policy and share your feedback by 5 July 2026. Your input will help make sure signage supports local groups while keeping our open spaces welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
