Free school holiday activities across Knox

The Autumn school holidays are just around the corner, and the Youth Services team is gearing up with a vibrant line‑up of free activities designed to keep young people inspired, connected and having fun. Whether they’re keen to learn a new skill, meet others in the community, get outdoors or simply enjoy a relaxed afternoon, there’s something for every interest and age group.

This season’s program offers a mix of hands‑on workshops, creative sessions and social activities. Girls aged 13–18 can dive into the Girls Woodwork Class, learning the basics of woodworking while crafting their own keepsake box. Boys aged 14–17 can join the Boys Bike Ride, explore local trails and picking up essential bike‑safety skills along the way.

For those who love friendly competition, Video Games & Donuts invites young people aged 10–25 to battle it out in a Smash Bros tournament and enjoy warm cinnamon donuts between rounds.

Budding photographers can sharpen their skills in the Mobile Phone Photography workshop, discovering how to capture great images using just their phone.

If connecting across generations sounds appealing, Mahjong Mania welcomes participants of all ages to learn this classic game in a relaxed, social setting. Meanwhile, creative minds can unwind at Crafternoon, a chilled session for 10–25-year-olds to explore different crafts and express their artistic side.

All activities are free, beginner‑friendly and held at various locations across Knox.

Bookings are essential for most activities, and places fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged!

The full program is available now on the Events Calendar.
