- Last Chance To Join BioBlitz 2026
This month, Knox is participating in the Greater Melbourne BioBlitz with several of our neighbouring councils. In this month-long event, community are making wildlife and plant recording on iNaturalist all throughout Knox.
The BioBlitz is a great way to learn about native plants and animals, get involved in local conservation and tap into an online community of biodiversity enthusiasts.
All you need to do is head out to your local bushland reserve to discover and take photos of native plants and animals and upload them to the iNaturalist app. iNaturalist also has an inbuilt species finder tool to help you identify new species you are not sure of.
Join Knox at, Knox BioBlitz 2026 and monitor your progress by tapping into the Greater Melbourne project.
To participate:
• Download the free and easy to use iNaturalist App
• Join the Knox project online at Knox BioBlitz 2026
• Take photographs of your observations
• Upload your photographs to the iNaturalist app.
