Take part in Neighbour Day 2026

Belonging every day starts with you. Put in an expression of interest to host a Neighbour Day event from Saturday 28 March to Sunday 29 March 2026.

Neighbour Day is part of the national Neighbours Every Day campaign, led by Relationships Australia and provides a great opportunity to get to know neighbours in your street and create a sense of belonging with each other. Knowing your neighbours improves general wellbeing and contributes to people's sense of safety.

In 2024, the initiative was trialled in Ferntree Gully with huge success, this time we’re going Knox-wide! Whether you’re a resident who loves bringing people together, are new to your street and looking to make connections or somewhere in between, this is your chance to make a difference.

Hosting an event is simple, all you need is a front yard, driveway or parklet to get started. Knox City Council will provide resources, promotional support, and guidance to help make your event a success.

Why get involved? Because respectful relationships are the foundation of belonging, every small act of connection helps build a more inclusive, resilient Australia.

Let’s make belonging more than a moment – let’s live it every day.

Expressions of interest close 11 January 2026.
