Across July we held a winter tinned food drive and pleased to share that 2247 tins of food have been passed onto Outer East Foodshare who are then distributing them to food relief agencies in Knox.

Thank you to everyone who donated tinned food. Demand for food relief in Knox is higher than ever and these donations will help Knox residents access nutritious food.

Food relief providers in Knox, are noticing that what was once a stop-gap measure ‘emergency’ food relief is now a way of life for many residents.

Council is committed to supporting emergency food relief providers in Knox. This support includes financial support through our grant streams including, Councils Emergency Relief Fund, leasing facilities at a reduced rate and ongoing support through the Knox Emergency Relief Network and Food Relief Taskforce.

If you are a resident of Knox in need of food and or other emergency relief, find out what support is available through community and welfare relief service providers.
