- Biodiversity Month: Citizen Science - Biodiversity Blitz
This September, Knox is participating in the Greater Melbourne BioBlitz.
During September and as part of Biodiversity Month 2026, we are partnering with several of our neighbouring councils to host Biodiversity Blitz 2026.
Join the Knox project online at Knox BioBlitz 2026 and monitor your progress by tapping into the BioBlitz leaderboard.
The BioBlitz is a great way to learn about native plants and animals, get involved in local conservation and tap into an online community of biodiversity enthusiasts. All you need to do is head out to your local bushland reserve to discover and take photos of native plants and animals and upload them to the iNaturalist app.
To participate:
- Download the free and easy to use iNaturalist App
- Take photographs of your observations
- Upload your photographs to the iNaturalist app
