We Are Knox

We are Knox

Knox is a thriving, progressive municipality with great diversity and beautiful contrasts. And that’s most obvious when looking at the people that make up this city.

It’s part of Council’s role to create thriving communities. We are working for a community where everyone can participate with pride and a sense of belonging.

Here are some of your neighbours. They have shared with us some of the many things that make them who they are and what they want you to know about them.

Their stories are about family, friends, self-expression, community, culture, career aspirations and supporting others to achieve their best.

Watch their stories and add your voice to the conversation on social media

Culturally Diverse residents

In celebration of Cultural Diversity Week, local residents who were born overseas shared stories about themselves, and what it means to call Knox home.

They represent just some of the culturally and linguistically diverse communities here in Knox. In fact, 23% of Knox residents are born overseas from non-English speaking backgrounds, and 13% of those residents arrived in Australia in the last 5 years.
