About Cr Williams
Cr Williams lives in The Basin with his wife and 2 children and has grown up in Knox. He lives and breathes everything Knox.
Cr Williams is an active volunteer firefighter within the Country Fire Authority (CFA).
He is the 1st Lieutenant of The Basin Fire Brigade as well as Group Officer of CFA’s Knox Group, which consists of 8 fire brigades covering the Knox area.
Cr Williams has also previously been a member of the Lions Club of Wantirna and has played an active role within community organisations within Knox for many years.
Cr Williams has operated his own printing and promotional products business since 2000, a business that supports local businesses and employs staff from the local area. He was previously a mortgage broker, another business he ran in Knox for over 12 years.
Cr Williams is a board member and President of industry body the Australasian Promotional Products Association (APPA), a position he has held since 2016.
His vision
Cr Williams aims to:
- Focus on doing the basics well
- Support community groups and sporting clubs
- Listen to and assist small businesses
- Listen to and assist residents with their concerns
- Ensure sound budgeting and financial management
- Ensure council is providing services the community require
- Continue to provide funding to emergency services
- Continue to be focused on reducing crime within our local community
- Keep focused on community matters.
