About the strategy
We acknowledge that there are a range of factors that influence how community members access opportunities at home, at work, in learning and in the community.
The Knox CARES Strategy 2022 to 2027 respects the lived experiences and strengths of all individuals in our diverse community, regardless of their gender, race, culture, sexuality, religion, abilities, family type, income level, or any other factor or circumstance.
The strategy has a focus on supporting and empowering:
- people with a disability
- culturally diverse communities
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- LGBTIQ+ communities
It also addresses important issues related to family violence and community safety.
