CPF update
Council has recently completed a review of the Community Partnership Fund (CPF), with input from currently funded organisations.
At the Council meeting on Tuesday 27 January, Council agreed to a number of changes designed to strengthen equity, consistency, and transparency, while continuing to support community organisations with longer term funding.
Key changes include
- Aligning CPF assessment and timelines with the Community Development Fund (CDF)
- Streamlining funding streams from six to three
- Transitioning all CPF funding streams to a contested process
- Introducing service agreements for selected essential community services
- Retaining a four-year funding cycle
2026 timelines
- May 2026: Grants open
- June 2026: Grants close
- June - July 2026: Applications assessed
- October 2026: Recommendation reported to Council
- January 2027: Funding starts
