Road Asset Management Plan

The Road Asset Management Plan (RAMP) creates a framework for the management of Council roads.

About the Plan

Knox City Council is responsible for the management of an extensive road network on behalf of the community.

This road network provides connectivity to residents, visitors and businesses across the municipality.

The Road Asset Management Plan (RAMP) sets out:

  • how we responsibly manage Council's road network
  • how we meet expectations
  • the level of service we aim to provide
  • a framework for management and decision making
  • sustainable funding requirements
  • opportunities for improvements.

Have your say on the Road Management Plan Review

Your feedback is invited on how we manage the road infrastructure. Community consultation closes on 5 October 2025

Our road infrastructure are important assets that contribute to our community’s safety, wellbeing and liveability.

Council needs to plan how we manage our road infrastructure to ensure that we effectively deliver these core services.

Council has undertaken a comprehensive review of the plan and is proposing minimal change to our road management approach because we are managing roads at appropriate levels.
