What items can I drop off?
Detox your home mobile collections will not accept every type of household chemical.
Before attending an event, check what you can and can't drop off.
Disposing of toxic chemicals
For other toxic household chemicals that are not accepted, find out how to dispose of household chemicals on the DEECA website.
Disposing of less toxic items
You can dispose of less toxic items at your nearest permanent disposal site.
Less toxic items include:
- paint – search for "Paintback" for your nearest location
- batteries (sticky tape on both ends)
- fluorescent lamps.
