Registration dates
- Registration opens: 1 May each year for the following year.
- First-round registration closes: 30 June.
- Subsequent rounds: from August onwards, for any remaining places.
- Re-registration: families must register each year their child attends kindergarten.
Allocation & offers
- First-round offers: July
- Second-round and subsequent offers: August onwards.
- Accepting or declining an offer: must be done within the specified timeframe in the email notification.
- Waiting list: children not offered a place remain on the waitlist for subsequent rounds.
Orientation & start dates
- Kindergarten service providers will be in contact throughout October/November for enrolment and orientation details.
- Kindergarten orientation sessions: typically held 1–2 weeks before term starts; exact dates provided by each kindergarten service provider.
- Term 1 start: check kindergarten service provider-specific start dates.
- Other term dates:
- Term 2, Term 3, Term 4 start and end dates (aligned with Victorian school terms).
- Public holidays and pupil-free days affecting kindergarten sessions.

- Dates may vary slightly between kindergarten service providers; always confirm with your kindergarten.
