Your first appointment
Making an appointment is slightly different depending on the age and stage of your child.
If you have a newborn
When your baby is born the hospital will advise our Maternal and Child Health service of the birth.
Program support staff will phone you to arrange the date and time of your first appointment.
This usually takes place in your own home. You will receive ongoing support through our Maternal and Child Health Centres.
If you have moved into the area
If you have recently moved to Knox from overseas or elsewhere in Australia and have children less than 4 years of age:
- contact our Maternal and Child Health service directly by email at mch@knox.vic.gov.au, or
- call 9298 8741. Monday to Friday, 9 am to 12.30 pm.
