In-home services for people under 65

If you are under 65 years of age (under 50 years of age for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) you may be able to access the Home and Community Care Program (HACC).

About in-home services

In-home services help people to remain living safely and independently at home.

Knox City Council is no longer a provider of the Home and Community Care Program. Mecwacare now provides this program to residents in the City of Knox.

If you are a:

  • Knox resident under 65 years of age who was receiving HACC services from Council – call 5941 5454.
  • Knox resident under 65 years of age who wishes to request HACC for the first time – call 8573 4999.

If you are a young person with a disability, you may be eligible for support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Find more information about living with disability in Knox.
