Using water efficiently is vital for reducing demand on our drinking water, protecting the quality of our waterways and helping us save money on our water bills.

Ways to save water

There are things you can do to conserve water in the home, outdoors or where you work. Smart Approved Water Mark has a range of great tips and ideas.

Rainwater tanks

You can install tanks to capture rainwater for general household use. This includes:

  • flushing toilets
  • washing clothes
  • watering gardens
  • other outdoor uses.

Report leaks or faults

It is important to report leaks as soon as possible so they can be assessed and fixed.
