What items can I drop off?
Detox your home mobile collections will not accept every type of household chemical.
This year, Knox Council is trialing the additional collection of household and car batteries, styrofoam and vapes on the 19 May in Knoxfield.
Car batteries (not truck)
Household batteries (please place sticky tape on both ends)
Expanded Polystyrene (Clean, sticky tape free, expanded Styrofoam only – no peanuts, drink
cups or food trays, polystyrene balls in clear bag/s)Vapes

Disposing of less toxic items
You can dispose of less toxic items at your nearest permanent disposal site.
Less toxic items include:
- paint
- batteries (sticky tape on both ends)
- fluorescent lamps.
