Knox Green Streets Policy

The Knox Green Streets Policy guides street tree planting and the maintenance of nature strips for the community.

About the policy

The Policy also provides guidance and an opportunity for residents to apply for a permit (free of charge) to plant out their nature strip to:

  • cool the local suburban landscape
  • provide enhanced biodiversity and habitat for local fauna and fauna
  • contribute to the 'green and leafy’ street character.

Council developed the Knox Green Streets Policy after it endorsed the:

The Knox Streetscape Policy is now known as the Knox Green Streets Policy.

Apply for a permit
