The Rowville Community Centre offers a range of lifestyle, health and community activities for all ages and fitness levels.

Council programs

Our classes include:

Living Longer Living Stronger

The Living Longer Living Stronger program is an accredited Council of the Ageing (COTA) resistance training program for people over 50 to:

  • increase bone density
  • muscle strength
  • metabolic rate.

COTA recommend participants attend twice per week.

To participate in this program, you must get a referral from your doctor every year. 

Bookings are essential. A wait list currently applies to these classes.

Senior sports

A social and active program for over 50’s. You can choose from badminton, pickleball or table tennis with all equipment supplied. New members welcome regardless of ability.

Cost: $5.50 per session.

Stretch and tone

Increase your strength, fitness and muscle tone using light weights, resistance bands and body weight exercises.

Cost: $11.50 per class.

Yoga Hatha

Designed to work your entire body. Improve your balance, core strength, flexibility and aid in stress reduction. This is a great class for beginners.

Cost: $16 per class.

Gentle exercise

A low impact exercise class designed with older adults in mind. Work at your own pace with the guidance of a qualified fitness instructor. Build your fitness level, improve bone density and boost your circulation.

Cost: $7 per class.
