Rates payment help

We can help if you're having trouble paying your rates. We offer 2 types of payment options.

Instalments

Pay your rates in smaller amounts across the year. Find out more on our Pay your rates page.

Payment plans

If you’ve missed one or more payments and have rates in arrears, you can apply for a payment plan. This allows you to pay off your overdue amount in smaller, regular payments over time.

When you set up a payment plan, you must:

  • choose to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly
  • start making payments within one month of applying.

We suggest the following minimum payments:

  • $100 weekly
  • $200 fortnightly
  • $400 monthly

Interest may still apply until your overdue amount is paid in full.

Apply for a payment plan

If you can't apply online, please call us on 9298 8000 and we will help you.

What happens next

We will review your application and aim to get back to you within 10 business days. Once your application is approved, we will send your payment schedule.

You don’t need to wait for approval to start making payments, you can start straight away. You can set up regular payments through BPAY, using the BPAY details on your rates notice.
