Youth Hive

The Youth Hive is a dedicated space in the Knox Library for young people aged 10 to 25 years. Knox City Council youth workers are available from 2 pm to 5pm weekdays if you need information, support or would just like to chat. No appointment needed.

The space offers a place to relax, study, play, connect and join in the programs or activities.

  • Day: Monday to Friday
  • Time: 2 pm to 5 pm
  • Ages: 10 to 25 years old
  • Cost: Free

Loosey Goosey Book Club

Come and share what you're reading, recommend a favourite or talk about the stories you didn't finish. Discover your next great read and meet other book lovers.

Everyone welcome. Registrations are essential.

  • Day: Tuesdays (Term 2), 28 April to 16 June 2026
  • Time: 4 pm to 5:15 pm
  • Ages: 15 to 25 years old
  • Cost: Free (all materials supplied)

Junk Journal Club

Join our calm space to learn the basics of junk journalling. This relaxed version of scrapbooking is great for recording your daily life without the stress of making it look perfect. 

All materials supplied, no experience required. Registrations are essential.

Dungeons and Dragons

Join us for this popular role-playing game.

Explore a world and take on an adventure!

Our game is designed to welcome new/beginner players.

All resources and materials will be supplied – the only thing you need to bring is your imagination and sense of fun.

Embrace your inner night owl and join us at the Hive for video games, craft, movies and heaps of other fun stuff.

We’re firing up the Switch every Friday afternoon at the Hive to get into some fun games and chill out before the weekend starts.

Young Writers Hive

Join the Knox Young Writers Hive and foster your love of writing all while making new friends. Registrations are essential.

  • Day: Fourth Friday of the month, starting Friday 27 February 2026
  • Time: 4 pm to 5 pm
  • Ages: 12 to 17 years old
  • Cost: Free

The Forge

A new program for young men aged 12 to 15 years old!

Looking for a place to hang out and meet new people? The Forge is a free youth program for young men to make friends, take part in activities, enjoy free snacks and have fun in a safe space.

  • Day: Weekly on Tuesdays (Term 3), 14 July to 1 September 2026
  • Time: 4 pm to 5:30 pm
  • Ages: 12 to 15 years old
  • Cost: Free (all materials supplied)
