Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
From 1 November 2025, the new Aged Care Act introduces strengthened Quality Standards to ensure older people receiving aged care are:
- At the centre of their aged care
- Treated with dignity and respect
- Valued for their identity, culture, and diversity
- Given choice and included in aged care decisions
- Provided with understandable information
- Supported to connect to their community
These standards set the level of care older people can expect, helping them live their best life.
