Youth counselling

Youth Services provide free, short to medium-term counselling for young people 10 to 25 years. They also provide family support to those who live, work or study in Knox.

About our counselling service

Counselling includes individual therapy, parent/family work, and therapeutic group work.

We provide short to medium term counselling and have a limited capacity to provide extended support if needed.

Young people seek support and counselling at various times in their lives for different issues, concerns and circumstances that arise.

Counselling from Knox Youth Services is provided in a safe and confidential environment for the young person to be able to express their concerns, chat about their issues and access appropriate support.

Crisis counselling

Knox City Council Youth Services does not have the capacity to provide crisis counselling.

Our Youth Resource Worker can provide alternative referral options to other agencies in the area.

If you are looking for a counsellor for a young person, contact our Youth Resource Worker at the Youth Hive, or visit ConnectUs.
