Bin services

Council has waste collections for household garbage, recycling and green waste that is collected weekly or fortnightly from a council supplied bin.

Residents can report damaged or stolen bins and missed bin collections online.

Types of bin services

There are three types of bins in Knox:

When to put your bins out

Your rubbish bins are emptied on the same day each week, including all public holidays. They should be placed at the collection point by 6am of your collection day.

Organising bin services

You can cancel a bin, order a replacement or request an extra bin online. You can also complete the household waste bin request form and return it to Council.

These requests must be made by the property owner or real estate agent. If you are a tenant, contact them directly.
