Knox Parent Information Forums/Workshops offered by Knox City Council Youth Services. They are generally presented with a guest speaker on specific topics. These sessions are usually offered on a designated evening at Knox City Council Civic Centre. Currently due to Covid-19 sessions are being presented via Zoom webinar.

'It's time we talked; about pornography, autism and teenagers'

Knox City Council Youth Services and Yarra Ranges Youth Services would like you to join us for this webinar that will be presented by Maree Crabbe, Film-maker, writer, and Director of the violence prevention project It's Time We Talked' and Kathleen Davey, Clinical Psychologist with clinical and forensic
expertise in working with teens and adults on the autism spectrum.

In a world where young people are growing up online, pornography has become a parenting issue we can’t afford to ignore. This session seeks to support you to understand pornography’s prevalence and influence, and how you can support your child to navigate respectful, consenting and safe sexuality and relationships in this new reality.

Cybersafety online for carers and parents of teenagers with ASD

Knox City Council Youth Services and Yarra Ranges Youth Services would like you to join us for this webinar that will be presented by Martine Oglethorpe, The Modern Parent to help navigate screens, devices, gaming and online behaviours for young people with ASD.

Guest speaker Martine Oglethrope, Author "The Modern Parent". Martine is a trusted provider with the Office of the eSafety Commissioner, has a background in secondary education, a Masters in Counselling and is a mother to
5 boys.

Knox City Council Youth Information Centre
Knox Youth Services provides information referral support and programs for young people aged 10 - 25 years who are living, working, recreating or studying in the City of Knox.
The YIC is located at Knox Ozone and provides information, advice, individual assistance and referral for young people and their families. (It is currently closed but we are still working contact us on 9298 8000)

Parent Group for parents of LGBTIQ+ young people
Support group for parents and carers of LGBTIQ+ children and young people in Knox.

Parentzone, Eastern
ParentZone is the Regional Parenting Resource Service for the Northern, Eastern, and Southern Metropolitan regions of Melbourne and the Gippsland region of Victoria.

headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drugs or work and study support. headspace also offers information for parents to assist their young people.

Victorian Parents Council
VPC is a registered not for profit charity providing information, representation and a collective voice to those supporting children in education. VPC informs, encourages, empowering, supports and responds to the needs of all parents, current, past and future, including non-government school parents, in Victoria and beyond.
