Council action on climate change

Knox City Council is working to cut greenhouse gas emissions in our community and from our own buildings and services. This includes:

  • Using energy-saving equipment like LED lights in Council buildings and street lighting
  • Getting off gas, installing solar panels and batteries
  • Using electric vehicles and installing EV charging stations

These actions help lower emissions and make our city more energy efficient.

Council’s Climate Response Plan 2021–2031 sets out our goals for addressing climate change.
